The “Bremer Kunst Werke” was founded in the spring of 2024.
It is an interdisciplinary artists’ residence in Hemelingen.
As one of the founding members, Klaas Wurtmann plays a key role in the creation and continued existence of the space. He is involved in the advisory board and serves as the on-site caretaker.
The goal of the house is to provide people with serious artistic interests with a permanent space, where they can explore these interests.
The house is rented by the specially founded cooperative “Raum Union” and sublet to some of its members. The cooperative specializes in the development, provision, and management of premises and workspaces for creative professionals, start-ups, artists, and small businesses.
